Having been friends since middle school, Ritsu is very fond of Jun and considers him as one of his closest friends. He enjoys talking to him and listening to his music-- they have rather similar tastes in that respect. Though Ritsu likes music, he treats it as more of a hobby-- knowing how serious Jun is about music, Ritsu thinks that's pretty admirable.

"We were dorm mates for the first year, then I decided he was cool enough to be my housemate- so we rent a place together now. He can't cook to save himself, but I got that part down so it's fine. You know, I really hate my major but he makes my life a little better- really appreciate him for that too. Jun's a nice guy, so he'll let most things slide. But I'm not- mess with dorm wife and you'll be answering to me instead."

Ritsu often brought home friends who were rather rowdy, but at some point Jun's visits seem to eclipse anyone else's. Pretty soon, it was mainly Jun who came over to play. Asahi... appreciated Jun's kindness and he wasn't even as loud as others who came before him which was another plus. However, the longer she knew him, the more louder he became... it was a backward kind of logic that made Asahi want to play dead.
She still appreciates that he does seem to respect her personal space, and will grudgingly admit that he was the best friend Ritsu could have.
