Design Terms of Use
You can't resell this character for a greater price than the amount of points originally paid, unless there is additional commissioned art. You can only add the price paid for the commissions onto your original purchase price. If you obtained this character in a trade or through gifting you can only resell for the price of commissioned art, and if there is none it may not be resold. You can't claim the original design or art as your own no matter how you obtain this character. Edits are allowed to the original design but to a reasonable extent, you should still be able to recognize it.
- personal use only unless stated otherwise. I may be okay with small-scale commercial use of a design (ex. low-quantity merch, minor inclusion in a larger commercial project). make sure to ask for permission and tell me the details of your use beforehand.
- co-owning is fine, but I can't help to mitigate any disputes with the design.
- resale is allowed for price paid + price of commissions + value of personal work (see below)
- if you want to add personal art onto a design’s resale price use your commission prices at the time you created the artwork. if you don't take commissions, use your best judgment to price the art. don’t exploit this by using low effort doodles/sketches/memes/etc to inflate the resale value.
- gifted or free designs cannot be traded or sold without permission (including in "gift for gift" exchanges, since I view those as trades). you can always ask me for permission to resell or trade if you have added extra value to the design.
- you are not allowed to add your own terms onto how a design can be transferred
- I ask that you not use my designs to promote hateful or harmful topics. I don’t want my work to be associated with bigotry, pedophilia, etc. if I am uncomfortable with the way you have used my character designs, I will avoid working with you in the future.
- I will not “revoke” any design that has been paid for in full. in cases of fraud (chargeback, trading stolen characters/art), I may relist the character design and report the original buyer.
