➳ PERSONALITY
Dobgwyn is a serious fellow, often yelling at his students to stop monkeying around and focus on their studies. Due to a curse he became trapped as a 21 year old forever, the curse has been active for around 170 years now, but Gwyn doesn't really keep count anymore. He has the soul of a much older man than his physical appearance. His student's refer to him as "old man dobgwyn" and find his mannerisms odd. Gwyn loves herbs and potions, and spends most of his free time researching and practicing different potions. He keeps a small memorial in the back of his home, a tribute to the family he has lost over the years, for he is the last member of his bloodline. Dobgwyn longs for the day when he is freed from his curse and can finally rest.

➳ CHILDHOOD
Gwyn was born to an average elven family, except for one thing: every winter the entire family went into a hibernation, nobody knew why. Gwyn hated the hibernation, but he was warned that bad things would happen if he didn't hibernate, so he did as he was told. Gwyn was a spirited child, often playing pranks and messing around with his siblings and cousins. He never had many friends as a child, but that didn't bother him. He was told that he was a herbal prodigy, and soon became the favorite student of an acclaimed potion mixer in the kingdom. When Gwyn turned 16 his master died, and he inherited the shop.
➳ THE CURSING
In the year of his 21st birthday Gwyn was having a particularly hard day at the shop. Things were running late, and he had to get to his home before the hibernation started. Realising what time it was he ran to his home, but it was too late. The Demon of Winter floated above the home, an evil grin stretched upon their face. The reason the family hibernated every winter is because they were cursed, and if they were to see another winter then they would all be doomed to die. The Demon decided that this wasn't enough punishment for Gwyn, so they killed all of Gwyn's family, except for Gwyn. Gwyn was doomed to stay 21 forever, and be immortal. Doomed to never find love and always be lonely. To have a miserable existence.
Gwyn now lives in his shop, and he took on many students to fill the empty hole in his life. People began to wonder why Gwyn wasn't aging, they assumed it was some sort of potion gone wrong, and that was the lie that Gwyn stuck with. He is known around the kingdom as the grumpy old man that just can't die. Gwyn longs for the day that the curse is broken, the day where he may finally rest.
