story

Past: Grew up on a small Spanish island during the golden age of pirates. Lived in the gutters with a large family, dad a fisherman who couldn’t make ends meet. Skipped town on a pirate ship the first chance he got, never looked back. The initial plan was that he'd set out, make enough money for his own ship, then pick up his two closest siblings on the youngest's 16th birthday

Story: Turns out making it on your own isn't easy. Especially at the age of 13 on the open seas. Gale did everything and anything to survive and make as much money as possible all to try and make a new life for he and his siblings. This didn't make him many friends. The opposite in fact. Eventually Gale Made a deal with a demon after his pirate crew stranded him on a deserted island. Part of the deal was to give Gale control over the only thing pirates fear, the power of a storm. Eventually he got back at his crew but lost the treasure when he sunk their ship. Now he's immortal but at a cost: his abilities are slowly making Gale go mad and blind. Never make deals with the devil kiddos.

Aftermath: Two of his closest siblings that Gale left behind end up leaving home when they're old enough. They proceed to go to the location Gale had told them all to meet at on the youngest's 16th birthday. When Gale doesn't show his siblings realize he's gotten into trouble and go to save him from his mistakes. For years Gale had been wandering the seas slowly consumed by madness, as he desperately tried to save his soul and break his curse. By the time his siblings find him Gale is little more than a husk of what he once was. Now little more than a force of nature in human form with a quirky personality and very few memories of ever being human. 

After many demon deals, swashbuckling adventures, and mishaps, they reverse Gale's curse and save him from his past mistakes. The trio then set off to sail the ocean as their own little crew of cunning thieves.
