Crystalline

An aspiring explorer that explores the many cave systems around his home. during one of his expeditions in an unknown cave that he found, he got stuck within one of the caverns. After wandering around he found some strange crystal-esc materials growing on the walls of the cave, it was almost like it was… calling out to him. After prolonged time and contact with the crystals in the caves, parts of them started turning into the crystals they studied, starting with small amounts growing from his face, but ended up with them covering him. He couldn’t find a way to get rid of them, every time he tried removing them, more would grow in its place. Eventually his entire face was covered in the crystals and he could barely see. after he Found his way out of the cave others noticed that something was… off, besides the crystal growths on his face. This was discovered when someone accidentally got cut by one of said crystals and started growing them as well. Crystalline then started to have ‘visions’, seemingly coming from whatever was controlling the crystals growing on him. This led him to start ‘infecting’ others as much as he could, blabbering about needing to ‘save’ those he was attacking. After many lost themselves to the crystals, effectively causing a semi-apocalypse. He now roams around, looking for anyone else he must ‘save’
