Celeste

PERSONALITY.

Celeste is a devout and dedicated priestess, loyal to her faith and committed to serving the gods. She is disciplined and unflinching in her beliefs, and can come across as stern or unapproachable to those who don't share her convictions.

However, Celeste also has a gentle and nurturing side, especially when it comes to her beloved peacocks, whom she cares for with tenderness and affection. She values beauty and elegance, and takes great pride in the temple and the religious rituals she presides over.

Celeste is a strong and independent woman, accustomed to living alone and not easily swayed by others' opinions. At times, she may struggle to relate to those who don't share her mindset. Nonetheless, she remains open-minded and curious about the world beyond the Cathedral, and can be surprisingly empathetic when called upon to offer guidance or advice.

BACKGROUND.

Celeste was born into a family of priests and priestesses who had served the gods for generations. Her parents recognized her strong connection to the divine at an early age, and they began training her to become a priestess. Celeste quickly proved to be an exceptional student, mastering complex rituals and demonstrating a deep understanding of the gods' will.

As Celeste grew older, she felt increasingly drawn to a solitary life of prayer and contemplation. She yearned to connect with the gods on a deeper level, beyond the distractions of everyday life. Her family was hesitant to let her go, but they eventually agreed to let her live far from civilization, in an isolated temple which she called "the Cathedral".

The woman settled into her new life, dedicating herself to a rigorous daily routine of prayer, meditation, and study. She also developed a close bond with the peacocks that lived on the temple grounds, seeing a reflection of the divine beauty in them.

Over time, Celeste became known as one of the most powerful and respected high priestesses in the land. Her counsel was sought by rulers and commoners alike, and her wisdom was said to be a direct gift from the gods themselves.

However, her isolation came at a cost. She often struggled with feelings of loneliness and longing for human connection. But in the end, she knew that her calling was to serve the gods above all else, even if it meant sacrificing personal relationships.

THE CATHEDRAL.

The Cathedral is a naturally formed structure that seems to have grown out of the earth itself. It is situated in a remote valley surrounded by jagged mountain peaks, and can only be reached by traversing treacherous terrain.

Inside, the Cathedral is a vast, glittering chamber that seems to stretch on forever. The walls, floor, and ceiling are all made of a translucent, crystalline substance that catches the light and refracts it into a thousand rainbows. The air is cool and still, and the only sound is the distant drip of water from a subterranean stream.

As you walk deeper into the Cathedral, you will notice that the walls seem to be reflecting your image back at you from multiple angles. It's as though you are walking through a hall of mirrors, but instead of glass, the reflections are created by the facets of the crystalline substance that makes up the Cathedral.
