About

Born in the Souko Kitsune settlement of Kihime in the Forest of Spirits on Tian Xia., Siddhartha was raised to worship the Lady of Foxes, Daikitsu. As part of his upbringing, Siddhartha was expected to find and pursure something in life that he would perfect. For while the answer to what exactly this could be evaded him, many people go their whole lives without ever finding it afterall.

His inspiration came early in his life however as when he was around the age of 17 Siddhartha stumbled across a Kami deep within the Forest of Spirits, a Toshigami, who belonged to a particularily old and wilted cherry tree on its last legs. Siddhartha stumbled onto the tree after slipping on a cliffside trail and rolling into the tree at the bottom. He was greatly injured, but before even addressing his own wounds he apologized to the tree for harming it with his body, as the force of his impact had rocked it rather violently. The Toshigami whos ward included this tree was moved by this act of selflessness and opted to grant Siddhartha healing from his tumble. This gift of healing came with another perk too though.

Most Kitsune have the ability to perform magic despite pursuing magic or not as it tends to be part of their bloodline and like most things that are genetic typically there is sway in potency for these things. For Siddhartha, he was a late bloomer when it came to his magic, but thanks to the blessing of the Toshigami, his magical potential awoke rapidly and bloomed into a much stronger blossom than it would have before. A third eye opened on his forehead, and with it psychic powers to manipulate the world around him. This became his inspiration to perfect his psychic abilities in such a way that he can use them in a combined marital arts fighting style that blends the mind and body.

He initially worked to properlly manipulate the force his mind could exert and eventually came to be able to manifest it into spectral arms that hovered behind him. As for his physical body he leanred the proper footwork and techniques to throw punches and kicks so that he could mirror them within his mind. With a bit of practice he came to be able to put both parts together and seamlessly switch between his physical arms and his mental arms. Next, he learned to feint his foes using his real or false arms before throwing a punch with the other. Training became a large portion of Siddhartha's life, but he often made time to visit the old fateful cherry blossom and pray at its roots as thanks. On his last trip to the cherry blossom, it seemed it was time for the tree to move on, there were hardly any petals left on it during a season it should be in full bloom. At its roots Siddhartha prayed and the last couple of petals drifted down and past him being carried off on the wind in the direction of east; seeing this as a call to action, Siddhartha decided to travel overseas on his mission to perfect his art.
