Profile

A worker of clan Valencia. Works primarily as a scribe/record-kepper, recording the details of meetings between royal officials/other history. Occasionally tags along for beastguard matters (but she doesn't like this much. Too dangerous/chaotic for her tastes).  Manages the valencia records/history, and is one of the staff at the library.

Personality:

  • anxious all the time like a brittle leaf in the wind.
  • generally a pushover, very meek. However has a well of bitter resentment that's been building for literally years from having to deal with royal-clan bullshit constantly. She isn't treated very well despite how important her job is. Doesn't see herself as very important/recognize this importance for a long while.
  • Warmhearted, connects with others easily. Very emotionally available to others, to where it's a bit unhealthy for her tbh.
  • Loves boardgames/card-games. One of the rare instances that her strategic and petty, normally buried, traits, get brought to the surface.
  • really enjoys perfumes, floral decorations/patterns. Anything flower-themed. Her living space is plastered with the stuff to the point where it would be overwhelming for most other creatures, which she simply doesn't understand. Used to be able to grow small flowers before her horn injury.
  • Lesbian
Other:
  • Not the HEAD scribe/record-keeper, but fairly high-up. August seeks her out later (once he's dokad) since Eisel is easy to work with and, when prompted, actually has beneficial thoughts/opinions about happenings that offer August some more perspective on things. Whereas the other record-keepers are resolved to be impartial/neutral to all matters, Eisel can't, even though she has tried. She sees this as a detriment to her job, but August sees it as a benefit.  Other scribes are also much less personable than Eisel.
  • Other royal-scribes tend to use heavily complicated, flowery, and 'high-minded' language in their records. Eisel uses more simple language that is easier for many to understand, mostly because she never got the hang of the high-minded language (and secretly, thinks it's all a bit silly/stupid. The whole point is them to record history, if no one can parse it however many years later, is it really useful?). August also seeks her out for this reason, as his personal record-keeper. Since, while parsing through the records upon being instated as Dokad, he found Eisel's the easiest to understand = the most valuable.
