Profile

Co-owned with: Meihia (Her version is here.)

The assistant and close friend of Caspian, Layla is calm, cheerful, and intelligent, and keeps her friendships few but strong.

Having grown up in Songbell with two human parents, she is a bit unconventional as an Annie. She barely shows her blessing off (you can only see it in her (occasionally) eyes), despite having a decent connection with it (through active use of her powers). She also has moderate skills with machines that all people in the Songbell school system learn as part of their required curriculum (especially for setting traps in Caspian's yard to guard the premises and maintaining her hammer).

Like practically everyone raised in Songbell, she has a couple screws loose. She tends to get extremely into whatever she's doing, going the extra mile to make TONS of traps, bake DOZENS of pies, and buy the entire series of her favorite stories. She very openly keeps the BL ones on her bookshelf.

Like many in Songbell, when it comes to technology, she may go into jargon-laden, heavily-technical rants when asked to explain what she's working on. Even though she has not gone to the college for as long as the others, she grew up around a lot of tech and would fool around with the machine parts scattered around the house when not reading mysteries or playing the saxophone. She's no master engineer by any standards, but no human technology can be considered a complete mystery to her.

She is absolutely obsessed with mysteries. This is why she travels to stalkmeet Caspian when her parents encouraged her to move out at age 18 to connect with her Annie side somewhere else, which they knew they could never properly help with. She since wound up on his team and became one of his closest friends, and eventually even more!

She also makes very good pies. It's supposedly a family recipe.

Like many born and raised in Songbell, the amount of alcohol required to get her drunk would kill a normal man.
