Key’Star

Born to PantherStar and BuzzardFlower, KeyTalon is the last remaining of her litter of 4. Her, PoppyKit, HopeKit, and SquirrelPaw. From an early age she was her fathers favorite, striking the most resemblance to him, and her ambitious attitude easily set her ahead. He took her on as his apprentice, while SquirrelPaw was mentored by JaggedFall, a rather rude warrior. SquirrelPaw ended up dying due to a fox attack, leaving KeyPaw the only descendant of PantherStar.

 The clan was unhappy with PantherStar, seeing how he treated his kits, and how he ran the clan. This lead him to trust no one, except for his mate and kit. When she became a warrior, it was only a moon later when she was forced into the deputy role by her father. She wasn’t necessarily opposed at first, it was what she knew she was to do from when she was a kit. When her mother BuzzardFlower passed away from a mysterious disease, her father became distant, saying her to question her place in the clan. She sought out peace and comfort and found it in LeapingCloud, a small ginger and white Tom. She had to balance her deputy life, her mate life, and finding a cure to this mysterious disease. She had to take a leave from her role as deputy when she herself was expecting kits. She birthed only one kit, RoseKit. PantherStar got a vision from Starclan telling him not to trust his kin.

This turned him against KeyTalon, which only made matters worse. She wasn’t demoted, as he had no real reason to do so. When he too died of this mysterious sickness she had to take his place as leader. She left her only kit RoseKit to the nursery’s resident queen, DappledWing. She spent little to no time with RoseKit, not wanting to lose focus of her clan, which is why they hated PantherStar, and because she didn’t want to put pressure on her young kit like he did to her. When RoseKit became RosePaw, she learned to be independent and cunning. KeyStar was still trying to cure this illness, as it plagued her clan. RosePaw, demanding more attention from her mother ended up pushing KeyStar to end up “giving her to the clan” and letting others care for her. Constantly doing things to impress her overworked mother.

 In the end, KeyStar had to get help from the local kitty pets, who acted like daylight warriors. The disease was mostly cured, however her connection with her daughter RosePaw was close to nothing. In an attempt to rekindle her mother-daughter relationship, she tried to spend more time with the abrasive RosePaw. In a desperate stroke of misguided hope, she made RosePaw a warrior early. Now RoseRush, she is was lacking in training, and over worked like her mother. Now she was a warrior, none of the cats previously taking care of her continued. She was left alone, and afraid. She would take her anger out on border patrols by picking fights with the other clans whose warriors got too close.

This ended up in a serious fight, and KeyStar was angry with her. No, furious. This leads to arguments between the two, and RoseRush gets re-named to MapleRot, after the cat she killed, MapleSong. KeyStar knew of the prophecy, and was worried it was her own daughter who would betray her or her clan. She saw RoseRush/MapleRot as a threat, and attempted to exile her, but before she wanted to talk, try to set things right. While by the clans river, she tired to talk, but MapleRot attacked her, and rightfully so. KeyStar ended up killing MapleRot, and shortly after Starclan took her lives, and she lived the rest of her days as a rouge, by the name of Talon.
