Eidolons are creatures, sentient objects, and other villainous lifeforms that were created by The Calamity Bringer in a dimension separated from both life and death named the "Nightmare Dimension." Most of them are souls that are currently travelling to the afterlife or are forced to suffer in their purgatory, but copies of living beings both of good and negative origin can be created. Eidolons currently reside in the Nightmare Dimension and have no true way of escaping. Despite this, Eidolons are significantly stronger, faster, smarter, and more durable than their real life counterparts. Should one fight them, it'll be feel like a near impossible battle. While Eidolons may naturally appear after their original counterpart dies, The Calamity Bringer can create Eidolons of currently living individuals if she pleases, regardless of whether they are in the same universe as her or not. The Eidolon itself will already know about its own fighting style, strengths, and weaknesses while having new strategies before the fight even begins.

Appearance

Eidolons share a very scary resemblance to their living counterparts. The main differences come in more extreme facial expressions (if applicable), slight size changes, and their overall color scheme. Eidolon creatures will use a more neon color scheme focused around purple and red. Other colors can be spotted though, such as blue and green but are not restricted to those colors specifically, they're just the most common. The differences in size are often made for either an advantage in their own combat or due to a change in their environment if they are physically tied to it. Their eyes are usually empty, showing no signs of any pupils or irises and instead being pure white. Should they have pupils, they are often a bright shade of red or purple.

Differences From Live Counterparts

While their live counterparts may possess incredible (or disappointing) strength, speed, intellect, or durability, Eidolon variants are always significantly superior in every way. Fighting an Eidolon variant will prove significantly more difficult than their regular version, to the point where it looks like they're invincible and have no weaknesses to exploit. Eidolons are also capable of speaking fluently in just about any language, regardless of species or if they're a mere object. They also harbor no positive feelings towards anyone or anything, instead focused on negativity and are always out to kill.

How One Can Be Defeated

Despite how strong they can be, it is still possible to defeat an Eidolon. They can be defeated by weapons that ward off nightmares and negative energy, but only if they leave themselves open. They're capable of defending against these attacks, but if you catch them offguard they will perish. Should you lack these kinds of weapons, they can be defeated through conventional means but it will be an incredibly long fight and they will likely outlast your stamina. Their extremely high endurance makes it difficult to win through brute force, so this type of approach is not advised unless if you have no other choice.

An Unlucky Challenger May Approach...

It's fated that one day a blue puffball will end up having to fight some of these creatures as a cost for protecting a valued ally... Only time will tell when that happens.
