ESTER

Ester is Caleb's wife of almost 150 years now. The two met when Caleb was still living at the city of Frostkeep and had visited Ester's village (Windsvale Peak) whilst out on a mission and had needed to stop by the village with his crew as they caught out in a terrible storm and it was too dangerous to continue, so they had to wait it out. Ester's village always welcomed travellers needing a place to stop and rest, so Caleb and his crew were welcomed into the village and given any supplies they needed that the village was able to provide. As it happened, Caleb had gotten injured from the storm, and Ester had noticed the solider limping, not saying anything as the rest of his crew got taken care of. Ester headed over to him and helped heal him and soon the two had gotten to talking, getting to know each other better. Though once the storm had passed Caleb and his crew had to continue on with their mission, but the two kept in touch through frequent letters and visits to eachother. Over time Caleb eventually decided to settle down with Ester, moving in with her into the village and after numerous years the two had a child together, Hunter.

HUNTER

Hunter is Caleb's son, and was a pretty socially awkward kid growing up. He'd playfully tease his son and encourage him to make friends, and was pleasantly surpised when one day Hunter had actually made a friend at school that day, Mika. Caleb ook great pride and joy in watching Hunter grow up from a quiet kid, to a respected member of the village, even if Hunter never was super out going, it was clear he had made a lot of progress and was more talkative as hew grew up. The thing that Caleb was most happy about was how his son had taken an interest in joining the village guard. He helped Hunter learn how to use a bow effectively and watched as his sons skills grew, becoming even more impressed when Hunter started incorporating some magic into his attacks as well that he had learnt from his mother.

Caleb carried a bow with him that had been passed down through several generations in his family, with the tradition of the current holder passing it down to their eldest child whenever they deemed the time to be right. Claeb had planned on gifting the bow to Hunter soon, however a dragon attacked their village before he could properly gift it to Hunter, but when Caleb was fatally injured and Hunter was at his side, he knew he could die happy and at peace, with his final moments being him handing the bow down to Hunter, with words of praise about how proud he was of his son. He could tell Hunter was hesitant, but he reasured him he was ready, and after Ester had joined his side alongside Hunter, he died, having that at least his final moments were with his family. Sometimes, Hunter thinks he can feel his father looking down at him, and he hopes that he has made his father proud with his actions as he continues to use his fathers bow as his primary weapon in battle.
