Raimu Shitouki

aka i finally got around to watching the mugen train arc, cracked, and made a character

Name: Raimu Shitouki

Profession: Demon Slayer(Coldflame Hashira)

Faction: Demon Slayer Corps

Breathing Style: Ice(initially), Coldflame(later)

Personality: Raimu comes off as a cold person, and she doesn’t trust other people easily. Once she does care about someone, though, she will protect them with her life. She would trust the people she cares about with her life in an instant and would never turn on them. Raimu likes listening to people talk, rather than talking herself, but would rather not interact at all with people unnecessarily(save for Rengoku. Rengoku gets all the time in the world). However, she has slowly been getting better at talking more due to Rengoku’s influence and suggesting that she do it. Even though Raimu acts cold, she doesn’t want to let anyone die, and is incredibly frustrated if/when she can’t save someone. She is not detached to the struggles of those around her and understands firsthand what the victims of demon attacks are going through. She hates demons, and although she's learned to stay calm in the face of this, her internal loathe for them still remains.

Story: w.i.p. but so far I've basically decided that she lived with her family and wanted to be a demon slayer from a young age(her parents made the mistake of telling her a single story about them lmao), trying her best to find a master who would teach her. Eventually she found one, Hotaka Kooriga, who knew Ice Breathing, but didn't like taking apprentices. Still, somehow, Raimu managed to get him to take on teaching her, and began learning from him. Her parents were not very supportive of her wish to become a demon slayer, and they actually argued about it on numerous occasions. On one such day, after a particularly bad one, Raimu left in a bad mood to go train with Kooriga, but before she went home, Kooriga convinced her to make up with her parents. However, when she arrived back at her house, she was greeted with a disaster. There was blood everywhere, and on the floor before her were her parents' dead bodies. Above them stood a demon she'd never seen before. Too shocked to move, Raimu made no move to dodge as the demon tried to attack her, so her already injured sister Momoka pushed her out of the way.

Before Raimu could react(still in shock), Momoka pushed Raimu and their brother Rihito out of the house and locked the door in a desperate attempt to keep them safe, asking them to run. With no other choice, Raimu took Rihito and ran, at least wanting to save her little brother. However, the demon soon caught up to them. As a last resort, despite still being in training, Raimu tried to fight the demon, but during the fight, Rihito slipped and fell off a cliff into a frozen lake below(he was later saved by a passing kakushi and became one as well, but Raimu thought he died). Raimu tried to run to help him, but it took all her strength and effort just to keep herself alive against the demon. The only thing that saved her was the sun rising and forcing the demon to run away. As soon as it was gone, she passed out from blood loss and exhaustion.

When she woke up, two days had passed(she had been found and saved by her master, Kooriga). She was overcome with rage and sadness, and tried to use Ice Breathing as a means of freezing her emotions. But the newfound hate that she had gained kept her from remaining levelheaded in the face of a demon, which meant she could never use its capabilities to the fullest. Hence, after passing Final Selection(at the same time as Kyojuro Rengoku), she developed her own style called Coldflame Breathing, which was more compatible with her. Also, after Final Selection, she repeatedly got assigned missions with Kyojuro Rengoku, much to both of their surprise. Raimu thought he was too loud and positive at first, but in the end, this positivity saved her from herself and they eventually became very close.

Family: Mitsuki Shitouki(mother, deceased), Konosuke Shitouki(father, deceased), Momoka Shitouki(older sister, deceased), Rihito Shitouki(younger brother, presumed dead but actually alive)

Enemies: Demons, literally anyone who insults Rengoku(she will not accept it)

Other:

-In most situations, Raimu can keep up with Rengoku both mentally and physically(it was not initially like this, it took her some practice from just being around him a lot to learn this skill), with a notable exception being socially(she refuses to be as extroverted as he is and is quite happy to let him do all the talking to other people)

-Unless required by a mission, Raimu would almost never willingly leave Rengoku's side

Design Notes:

-Her irises are two different colors(a lighter and darker blue)

-Her hair is the lighter blue at the tips

-She's a little shorter than Rengoku

-the sleeves on her haori can be drawn longer than on the ref, like the length of Tanjiro's or Zenitsu's

-There are TWO shades of blue on her haori, please use both of them

-The bottom edges of her haori are NOT just a straight line like a normal haori
