Silvana, often going by "Sil" is a female vernid anthro who has made a career, not just a living, out of thievery.

She can fit into many different timelines and her backstory is the same.

When she was young she took after the other mischievous vernids she lived around, starting with petty theft and finding she excelled at it even more than her friends. She began making a living out of it by selling items she stole far enough away from where she lived as to not get caught, and as she matured into a teenager and then a young adult, began pulling off bigger and bigger heists.

When she was younger she could hide in crowds or in shadows to avoid detection, but her bigger targets began to require that she hide in plain sight. In modern timelines, innocent-until-proven-guilty norms protect her from prosecution despite many people (including some law enforcement) knowing she's behind stuff. In older timelines where you can be detained without solid reason, she has more trouble, often being detected prior to a heist or after, having to abort a heist, or make quick getaways afterward.

As she grew into a more mature adult, ne'er-do-wells began to take note of her skills, starting to hire her to perpetrate heists herself, or join teams for really big jobs. This eventually evolved into jobs involving kidnappings or even assassinations, which began to upset her moral compass, resulting in internal conflict and a re-evaluation of what she's doing with her life.
