o4 - Story

  • Huihui was born as a ███.
  • Like other mythical beings, ███ gained strength from worship. However the ███ were soon to be forgotten, and would cease to exist. Their reputation could not keep up with the changes of time. They feared disappearance and called to the gods for help. But there was no response. The ███ took matters in to their own hands. If they defeated the many beasts that threatened mankind, if they brought rain to dry lands, if they cured the illnesses that plagued the weak body of man... They were surely to be grandly thanked.
  • However, the many other legends thought otherwise. It just was not right for the ███ to suddenly meddle with humans. Word of the ███ schemes made its way to the heavenly gods. The God of Harmony declared it unjust for the ███ to interfere with mankind. And without warning, the God of Harmony, with the assistance of other mythical beings, began the execution of the ███.
  • Throughout the screams and bloodshed, the adult ███ frantically aided the young in escape. Only Huihui and a handful of other kids survived the massacre.
  • The young ███ travelled from place to place, fearing the grasp of the many creatures that hated them. Sometimes they'd blend into the human villages. They'd tell stories about their ancestors. Maybe they could regain the reputation they had many years ago. But what could a couple kids do? The land was way to vast for their simple storytelling. They could feel their strength growing weaker and weaker.
  • Huihui cursed the gods.
  • Is it wrong to want to live?
  • The ███ swore revenge. But the only way Huihui could reach the divine beings were to become a god herself.
  • Huihui and the other ███ survived off of the drive for vengence. However their numbers dropped over the years as they were weak and easily susceptible to the power of beasts.
  • When the trial for the next divine ascension began, Huihui and the remaining ███ fought their way to the heavens. They defeated any competitors they faced. Of course, they struggled. While the inferior beasts and young legends were no match for their experience and skill, the ███ soon faced powerful myths that strived for a place in the Jade Court. One by one, her friends would sacrifice themself for their revenge. Huihui could not do anything but watch her kind be striked down like those many years ago. And eventually, Huihui was the last one left.
  • Huihui fought back tears as she climbed her way to the Jade Emperor. And she succeeded.
  • Huihui was recognized as a god by the Jade Emperor. She felt power well in her as she transformed into the legendary dragon god. With this newfound power, she sought out the God of Harmony who had destroyed her kind... Only to learn that the curse had already taken his life.
  • ...What?
  • She had fought for so long and witnessed the death of so many of her friends for nothing...? She couldn't help but laugh at how pathetic her situation was.
  • How could this be...
  • But as a god she now has the influence and power to restore the reputation of her kind!
  • Her idea was quickly shot down as she realized that she had forgotten.
  • ...Huh? Who am I again?
  • With her transformation into a dragon god, Huihui had ended the existance of the ███. She could not remember the name of her kind. She could not remember the names of her friends. She could not remember the faces of the comrades she had spent thousands of years with. Their existance had ceased to exist.
