Angler

Angler lives in an otherwise thought to be abandoned beach cave, typically  only emerging to watch as the tide rolls in and out. It watches there for anyone who may otherwise be swept away by the current to help them out, though its aid has been misconstrued as hunting for prey in the fierce waters, earning it a cryptid-like reputation.
