Appearance

Gav, as an angel, is a large (10’8”) humanoid grey-skinned creature who has a bony “mask” in the shape of a fox head on his face. He has black lines around his neck, on the underside of his arms, on both sides of his legs and around their knees From under the “mask”, is two golden head wings with silver, gold and black eye markings and golden fluffy hair. He has three glassy gems inset into his chest and four eye markings below. On his chest is six bony rib protrusions. He has two more wings on his hips, similar to his head wings. His hands and feet are bony and clawed. He has a long grey tail with golden fur at the end. He has massive wings, the top being golden-feathered with an eye marking and the bottom being black and leathery with shifting golden space designs.

Gav, as a human, is a short (5’4”) tanned person with freckles on his face, shoulders, arms and knees. He has long golden hair that is black on top. He has top surgery scars on his chest. He has golden eyes. He can manifest his wings and tail in this form.

He typically wears bright t-shirts under a leather jacket with embroidered details, such as eyes on the sleeves and golden rope on the edges. He has a pin of golden angel wings on his lapel. He also wears black jeans and boots.

Personality

Gavirel is a laid-back, quick-talking and often sarcastic angel. He’s mischievous and likes to mess with people. He’s playful and hedonistic, very much ‘living in the moment’. He isn’t above petty actions and even relishes in them if he really doesn’t like the person. If he feels they need it, he enjoys taking others down a peg. At the end of the day, he hides an eerily serious side that makes him a terrifying person when needed. Unlike the vast majority of angels, who are wholly ambivalent in humanity, he is fascinated by them and has a vested interest in their safety.

History

What exactly Gav’s role in the heaven hierarchy is somewhat nebulous. He claims to be a messenger, able to flit between Earth and heaven at will. He doesn’t always go to Earth for his duties, but often flits down to play mischief on humans. While he is mostly harmless, those he feels need “retribution” often find their sins tossed back at them; a just desserts if you will.

This ability to come and go between Earth came in handy when his sibling Tabirael fell willingly, having felt they were going to do more good on Earth. Thus, Gavirel was able to follow, without falling himself.

Skills

As an angel, he has many abilities. He has shapeshifting abilities, using them mostly to shift between human and angel and an in-between form. However, he can shift to look like other people.

He has conjuration abilities, able to conjure all sorts of objects. He can warp others’ perception and change what they perceive. He has telepathic and telekinetic powers. He has the ability to teleport.

As an angel, he’s very durable, able to withstand many injuries. Even incapacitated, its impossible for him to die unless under specific conditions. He can regenerate back from all blows.
