Nemu

Nemu is a female constellation druid kitsunemimi Vtuber who is a bit of a variety streamer but primarily likes to play Genshin, Muse Dash, Lethal Company, and House Flipper. She also loves being asked questions and can never get enough of it. She'll sometimes do art streams and wants to start singing more (just needs a bit more encouragement). Her streams are generally very chill and relaxed, always a good time for anyone.

"There are so many constellations in the night sky. What's your favorite one of them?"
"I like the Big Dipper and the Little Dipper! They're big spoons and that's cool!"
"Well I like Orion! You can see it all over the earth, no matter where you are."
"I like Ophiuchus! It's a sneaky sneaky snake."

These constellations are so bright, lighting our way in the dark. Even when it's light out, they're still there, shining as bright as they can.

However, there are some constellations we don't talk about as much. One of these constellations is the fox, Vulpecula. Although it is faint, Vulpecula is a curious little constellation.

DUTY

Vulpecula has had many stories, from the fastest dog of  its time, to the steadfast friend of Aquila the Powerful. This story, however... This story is different.

Nothing is certain, not the earth nor the cosmos. As a constellation druid, Nemu's duty was to craft star maps, to chart the stars and make plans according to the celestial bodies. It was a task Nemu loved, as the stars were  her home. She felt called to be among them. Of course, that didn't  mean she wasn't prone to impishness. Nemu could often be found sneaking  snacks out of the observatory's larder. It wasn't hard, after all.  Whenever Nemu wanted a snack, she simply shrunk herself down to a single  star and popped in, sneaking off with a variety of... "borrowed"  snacks.

However, after some time, Nemu became...  more curious. Of course, the place she lived was comfortable, but she  always had wondered about the humans she was crafting plans for. Did the  humans like the plans? Did they follow them well?

Nemu's  teacher hadn't told her much about the people she was guiding, so...  Nemu decided to find out for herself. She sent Pafu down to Earth,  hoping he could return with information to whet the curious  constellation druid’s appetite for knowledge.

CURIOSITY BOILS OVER

Nemu doesn't know all of what Pafu saw on Earth, but what she did find out was… astounding. Troubling. Beautiful.

According  to Pafu, the residents of earth were two-legged creatures with smooth skin and shiny fur. They spoke many languages, and they loved many things.  Nemu asked Pafu to tell her stories about Earth again and again, until she dreamed of meeting the beautiful humans that lived below.

Out  of everything Pafu told Nemu about, there was one thing that she wanted  to try most of all: streaming. Nemu asked Pafu innumerable questions  about streaming, which Pafu tried to answer to the best of his ability. Unfortunately, Pafu didn't have a bunch of information on the subject,  so Nemu decided to go down to Earth and find out for herself.

Upon arriving on the planet, the first thing Nemu noticed was a strange sense of… discord. It was as if humans couldn't even decide on which leader to follow. Perhaps… this is what her teacher meant, all those years ago, when they said that some humans chose to chart their own destiny. Perhaps, but what about Nemu’s followers? Surely some humans still followed her guidance.

Bright laughter broke Nemu out of their thoughts. Turning around to find the source of the sound, their eyes settled upon a small group of children who seemed to be playing with Pafu. They looked like they were having so much fun, and Pafu seemed to genuinely enjoy the play as well…

A small child stroking Pafu's tail spoke up, “Paf-paf! Tell us more about Nemu!”

Did that child… ask about her? Directly? Perhaps, perhaps these children believed in her influence? From out of nowhere, more humans came to the area. Young and old gathered, seeming to already know Pafu. Nemu cast her eyes on each individual, her heart filling with pride.
