Cobi Roy

Cobi was always fascinated by music, they spent a lot of time learning to play various instruments. They also loved traveling mainly for the purpose of finding new songs and stories to play out.

At a still quite young age, they got taken from home by a group of people that were part of a bigger people trafficking organization. Those people intended to sell Cobi to whoever paid most, but they tried to convince them that they can be more ‘useful’ here than a slave to some random person. When asked to prove said claim, Cobi started playing the instruments and songs they were most confident with. Amazed by their talent, the leaders decided to keep the Sylvari around as their own bard for important meetings with clients. That means Cobi heard many negotiations and grew to hate these people more and more. On top of that, they also got quite some inappropriate comments, which is the reason why they mostly snap at people being friendly or flirty around them.

It took a couple of years for their friend Lyell to find and rescue Cobi. When they were reunited, they decided to strengthen their bond by calling each other siblings and agreed on a common last name, despite their culture not usually using those.

Together with Lyell they swore to create a plan to dissolve the organization that took the Sylvari. But since they were only two and also on the run from the people they escaped from, they couldn’t really do much.

Starting from Queensdale, Cobi and Lyell silently followed wherever those criminals went. Gaining money by performing on the streets when it seemed safe and always waiting for their chance to strike. The two of them managed to also free some slaves before they got sold but still there is only so much they can do.
