Thornstar

Born in a abandoned barn with a uncaring mother. Thorntail started out as a hyper kitten named Rosebud that traveled with her mother who seemed to just see Rosebud as a weight. Her mother, Lavender, had enough when the kitten had asked who her father was out of sheer curiosity. Lavender did not have good memories of Rosebuds father, and decided to let this weight go. In the midst of leafbare(Rosebuds birth season) Lavender had left her alone in a snowstorm. Where the cruel shecat had hurried off to the barn without her kit. As Rosebud quickly began freezing to death, but a Appleclan patrol was also lost in the snow. They managed to find her, and warm her up under a tree that was hardly large enough to fit them all in there. Rosebud was then taken to the camp, and raised (and renamed to Thorntail due to her prickly fur) as a Appleclan member with little predjudice.

In her apprentice days as Thornpaw she managed to make two friends which she would become close with. Nettleblossom and Tinyscream, who were apprentices at this time, and managed to live a pretty unremarkable apprentice life. Until she met Daisypaw after witnessing a bloody skirmish between the violent Appleclan picking fights with Lilyclan. She decided to take one of the injured Lilyclan cats back to their camp, while being injured herself, and her and the lilyclan cat were treated by Daisypaw. It was like love at first sight...to Thornpaw. The entire thing was one-sided, yet Thornpaw asked Daisypaw to consistently meet her in at The Gathering area. The two kept meeting for a good while, even when Thornpaw became Thorntail.

After she became Thorntail the meetings began occuring less and less as Appleclan and Lilyclan relations became more strained. The last meeting they had was after Shadow arrived and convinced the cats to journey to a new land. Daisypaw confirmed that she would be staying to take care of the cats who would also stay behind. This was awful to Thorntail, and she tried to change her mind. However, it was set in stone, Thorntail had to let go. She was reluctant to continue pursuing a relationship that she had recently found out was one sided. Thorntail told Daisypaw she would be going, and said goodbye. Shadow chose her and Tinyscream as guide, which she was admittedly happy about, but the weight of leaving without Daisypaw still haunted her throughout the first few months of the journey. After a fight with the ex Appleclan leader, Gorsethrush, Thorntail seems to be more..serious and saddened. Especially after being seperated from her friends on bad terms after they had been sorted into clans. She hopes things will be better in Dawnclan, but she needed to start focusing on taking care of it. Even if it consists of a cat who she despises(Gorsethrush).

Thornstar never expected to gain leadership so quickly after Ladybugstar ran away before getting his lives. So much had happened in that small pocket of time. Thornstar gained a new scar on her back leg as well has the trauma of watching her friend die infront of her. She feels bad for not being around for Nettleblossom, or for Tinyscreams burial. Speaking of Tinyscream she promised him at his life ceremony to take care of Nettleblossom and Needlepaw for him, and she has no idea how to do this. But, she will anyway.
