The blood on my teeth begins to taste like a poem, like religion, like the way you look at me.
Hailing from a god-worshiping colony of cats, Zinfandel clawed his way into power piece by piece, lie by lie. Soon a mysterious angel visits the church, touting a powerful phenomenon known as magic. This angel- Kismet, they call themselves- takes a particular liking to Zinfandel. Believing himself to be worthy of the focus of an angel, he is more than excited to learn spells one-on-one with Kismet.
Zinfandel is a powerful figure within the sect, sitting among the top ranking members. He is an incredibly devoted feline, worshipping the divine figures with large, bountiful feasts and plenty of wine. His claws are not free of innocent blood, however, as Zinfandel is not above murder for his own personal gain.
Reverential • Devoted • Hubristic
Endlessly devoted to his God, Zinfandel holds a position of power within his sect. He comes off as charismatic and a bit charming, though entirely full of himself. He enjoys luxury and shares it freely. Furthermore, Zinfandel keeps himself to high standards and follows a strict personal code on conduct. This, however, is skewed in his favor. He is not above cruelty in order to elevate his own status. His own interests come first and foremost to him, and all else can be rethought in such a manner to follow his personal guidelines.
Believing himself both worthy and unworthy of love, Zinfandel finds it difficult to feel one way or the other. He adores the praise he is given yet knows he does not truly deserve it after all he has done. He's well aware of the crimes he has committed, even if they line up with his personal code of conduct. Still, Zinfandel finds it easiest to follow his every whim and makes no effort to change for the better. He craves control after lacking it in his childhood, and chases it above all else.

• Kismet
Claming to be an angel, Kismet comes down to this world sharing something unlike anyone has ever seen: magic. Powerful spell-circles that allow the user to do anything they could possibly dream of, granted they know the right symbols to cast. Kismet takes a liking in particular to Zinfandel, believing they can use him, and begins teaching him one-on-one. Zinfandel is more than welcoming to this "angel", and looks forward to their teachings every day.
• Quintessence
Zinfandel's wife. The two hold no feelings for each other and are instead just together for show. Quintessence is considered one of the prettiest cats in town, and Zinfandel's position of power drew her in. They both enjoy their relationship, shallow as it may be.
• Corvinone
Corvinone is one of Zinfandel's closest allies and friends. They are one of the only cats Zinfandel wouldn't throw under the bus for his own benefit, and Corvinone knows this. They are friends since kittenhoot, bonded at the hip. Corvinone is not one for cruelty like Zinfandel, but they are more than willing to turn a bling eye when Zinfandel inevitably gets his way.
