PERSONALITY

Hermes is a deathly anxious Heavenly who is desperate to do everything right and avoid becoming a Fallen.

He's a people pleaser and will do anything to make sure his superiors are happy--and, as a Heavenly Angemo, that subsequently means he has to protect his mortals with everything he's got. He knows the rules like the back of his hooves and can happily recite the everyday laws of Angemo's Peak to you. 

When given the chance, he is a hopeless romantic. With mortals in the past, he's always slightly manipulated their lives to make sure love always falls in their paths.

He typically seems rather stressed and anxious, especially around the office, but tends to be rather sweet and apologetic nevertheless. However, on particularly bad days, he might be rather snappy and grouchy. He'll always apologize afterwards, though.

It really ticks him off if you take his apologetic nature for granted, or try to take advantage of him for it. He doesn't like feeling like a doormat.

STORY

Probably every Angemo's worst nightmare is a mortal like Jack Murphy, who is the mortal that Hermes is responsible for. Jack has the worst luck ever, but he's positive he must have simply the best luck ever, since Hermes always manages to save him in the nick of time with various manipulations.

Jack takes up all of his energy and free time, so Hermes has almost entirely separated himself from his friends, promising himself that he'll go back to having friends once he gets a new mortal to take care of. He just has to stick out the next... 30 years... oh, how he hopes Jack dies young (not from any unnatural causes, of course).

DESIGN NOTES

Hermes has eight wings total (don't forget the ankle ones)! 

He has seekers on each of his wings, tucked in the feathers. He has four seekers on his body, but they are usually not visible.

TRIVIA

- There's nothing that makes him more cross than being late, so if you have an appointment with him, it's best to get there early.
- He wears horseshoes on his hooves.
- He can't stand the sound of clinking, and hates most jewelry because of it.
- Actually, he doesn't like most sounds. You'd be better off being quiet around him, if he's trying to focus.
- His latest obsession is record players, but he still hasn’t gotten far past the 50s when it comes to music. He’ll catch up eventually.
