i. Rye has been in the background of South Park Elementary since the first grade, being a floater friend with no real ties to friend groups. Although they aren't necessarily unpopular, they aren't a common first choice for hanging out with and are typically only interacted with in group settings or in class time.

They do, however, have the reputation of being the biggest Chinpokomon fan of the school and is both praised and scorned for having an extensive collection of both plush and cards relating to the franchise.

ii. Rye's best friend moved to Texas before the start of the second grade, leaving Rye persue to their hijinx alone. They proceeded to bring the Chinpokomon craze into South Park, bringing upon the events of s3 ep11, bringing a new spotlight to them as shit hit the fan.

They most commonly hang out with Butters, Kenny, and Clyde when given the chance, but they will befriend anyone who takes interest in their doings.

They also became involved in the events of Stick of Truth and Fractured but Whole, although they played a minor role to both stories. Their hero persona is the inspiration for the Blaster class, though Cartman claims it to be the other way around.
