A former fashion designer, Valencia was recruited by Overwatch for her impeccable knowledge in sustainable fashion. Before her days at Overwatch, however, she had made a name for herself, internationally, by being the most environmentally friendly fashion designer. Many of her shows and lines were made with the intention of raising money for charities with the intent of saving the environment.

It was when Overwatch was at its peak, gaining new recruits nearly every day, that they extended an invite to her. She was brought onto the team to help design and create, with her knowledge of textiles and design, new suits and costumes that would be integrated with technology all across the board. Valencia was eager to take the opportunity and hope that her work would help change the world in spite of her not being on the front line.

Some odd years later, Valencia decided she wanted to do more. She wanted to assist her friends and allies on the field like Dr. Ziegler and the other Valkyrie units, but she felt she would be unable to do the Valkyrie suit much justice. Instead of joining the medical unit, she worked on creating her own suit and developing technology, with much help from Overwatch engineers, that would allow her to quickly weave back and forth in the field while patching up her allies. It was during this that she developed a new synthetic, but environmentally friendly, textile that would act much like disintegrating stitches but in a bigger, thicker thread that would later be spun into ribbon-like threads and larger pieces of fabric imbued with healing energy found in the Caudecus staff and biotic fields.
