Personality

Drayce is sometimes aloof, occasionally charming, sometimes cool headed, but can also have a temper hotter than the fire he breathes. He has no issue flirting with people he finds attractive, even when they have shown no interest. Because you never know, maybe a little flirting is all it takes to get them into bed. He can also be extremely loyal and would risk his life for those he holds dear.

Description

Rather tall, at 6'7". Drayce has an athletic build with a fair complexion and full, shoulder length golden-blond hair. He has sapphire blue eyes that seem to sparkle in the light. There are scars on his back from being whipped, a large scar on the left side of his abdomen from being hit by a spear as a dragon, and scarring on his neck from being chained as a dragon.

He typically wears poet style shirts (though without extreme ruffles or none at all, and the top half is always open), breeches (sometimes just under the knee, sometimes to the ankle), leather belt, and knee high leather boots. His shirts are usually white, though he will wear other colors. The pants and leather accessories are typically black. He always has a longsword at his side. He also wears a solid color kerchief to hide the scars on his neck.

As a dragon he is rather large, thus he needs a big, open space to transform. His scales glitter like gold, his wingspan is massive, and he breathes fire. The same scars on his human body are also on his dragon one. (this is a good reference for his size, image from here)

Background

Drayce came to live in Katsurou after he had found Hayate half-dead on a battlefield, after killing the man who had injured him to such an extent. He nursed the prince back to health, then took him home when he was well enough to travel. The rulers of Katsurou, appreciating the man saving their son's life, invited him to live there. He accepted, having no where else to go, and became a soldier under Hayate's command. He quickly proved his worth and became Hayate's lieutenant general.

Where he is originally from, no one knows. Some believe that he came from far across the sea, though Drayce does not talk about his past and just smiles before changing the subject when anyone tries.

At night, when everyone is asleep, he will go outside and transform to stretch his wings. He always returns before dawn, though sometimes considers never returning. If it were not for Hayate and Hotaru, he would leave, but he feels a need to protect them.

Drayce enjoys physical attention as a human and dragon, especially his head being pet. When he is relaxed enough, he sometimes even purrs. Like most dragons, he enjoys shiny trinkets. While he does not have room for a hoard, he keeps a small box of various things. The man also has an interest in small, furry animals, having never been able to hold one. They always run from him because they can smell the dragon on him, though he has no intention of hurting them.
