When Veronica was younger, she often lived her life traveling from Paldea to Kalos and vice versa due to her divorced parents, but luckily, the support of her older sister helped her cope with the lack of a stable home life. Regardless, Veronica had a pretty happy childhood where she also discovered her love for roller skating. It’s been years since her sister’s passing and now Veronica is a full-fledged adult with a job: she delivers food all around Paldea on her trusty roller skates. She's also in a relationship with gym leader and elite four member Larry!
In game, Veronica would be a Roaming NPC that the player can find around Paldea and challenge to a double battle. Before fighting she would share some tid-bits about a Gym Leader (according to where she's located at the moment) and after the battle she would gift the player a rare item. She would also update the player's Rotom Phone allowing it to put multiple markers on their map.

Trivia
- Because she’s very active, Veronica tends to have a big appetite. Her favorite dish is the spicy Dandan Noodles that gym leader and chef Kofu makes.
- Her pokemon team (see next section) is mostly made of fast and strong attackers. This is meant to reflect the fact that Veronica is very impulsive herself and tends to act before thinking.
- Veronica often over-reacts when something takes her by surprise: her first reaction? Kicking or punching whatever is in front of her of course!
- While she's delivering food in Paldea's outskirts, it's not rare for Veronica to be bothered by hungry pokemon trying to steal food. Luckily for her though, her own powerful pokemon are trained to fight-off any hungry enemies. However, things are different when the assailants are a group of annoying teenagers called "Team Stars"...
- Veronica has a lot of trauma related to not being able to save her big sister from her fatal illness. Because of that, she over-compensates by being excessively accommodating and being a people pleaser: putting everyone's needs over her own.
Breloom ♂
Nature: Adamant| Ability: Technician | Moveset: Bullet seed, Mach punch, Leech seed, Spore
Breloom is Veronica’s very first pokemon and he’s very proud of being her ace: this little guy is very stubborn and when he gets something in his mind nothing can stop him. When they met for the first time he was just a little defenseless Shroomish who got lost. No matter how many times Veronica tried to reconnect him with his family, all attempts were unsuccessful; so she decided to keep him. They are now very close and would do anything for each other.
Lycanroc ♀
Nature: Jolly | Ability: Tough Claws | Moveset: Swords dance, Accelerock, Stone edge, Fire fangs
First caught as a small Rockruff; Lycanrok, along with Breloom, was one of the first pokemon Veronica ever caught. This Lycanroc is a dusk form, which makes her particularly skilled in battles: she's your go-to when things get tough!
Pawmot ♀
Nature: Jolly | Ability: Volt Assorb | Moveset: Double Shock, Revival Blessing, Ice Punch, Brick Break
This energetic fur ball especially enjoys physical exercise and training. She's not only surprisingly resilient, but also has a great synergy with her battle partner, Kilowattrel.
Kilowattrel ♀
Nature: Timid | Ability: Volt absorb | Moveset: Thunderbolt, Air cutter, Tailwind, Volt switch
Kilowattrel is very shy, and she’s always been like that ever since she was a tiny Watterel. Strangely enough, the only one who was able to open up to her was gym leader Larry, who seems to have a particular affinity with flying types, as well as normal types.
Gholdengo ✦⋆
Nature: Modest | Ability: Good as gold | Moveset: Nasty plot, Shadow ball, Make it rain, Recover
During Veronica's very first delivery she got lost, but luckily for her; a curious roaming Gimmighoul came up to her and gave her directions. However, the little creature took a liking to Veronica, as it kept following her everywhere. Now Gimmighoul is a Gholdengo thanks to all the coins it collected while following Veronica. Ironically enough, she still fails to notice that this pokemon is shiny.

Cyclizard is not actually Veronica’s pokemon and does not battle. It was given to her to make her deliveries easier; even though she prefers using her trusty roller blades when she can.
Dachsbun ♀
Veronica is very attached to her Dachsbun because it's actually her sister’s pokemon that she got to keep after her passing. As she's now quite old, the pup prefers spending her days at home sleeping.
|Childhood
When Veronica was younger, she often lived her life traveling from Paldea to Kalos and vice versa due to her divorced parents, but luckily, the support of her older sister helped her cope with the lack of a stable home life. Regardless, Veronica had a pretty happy childhood where she met a lot of new people and pokemon. While in Kalos, she often met her cousin Sina, who was studying to be Professor Sycamore's assistant; she also introduced her to roller skating, which is very popular in the area. Veronica was thrilled to find her true passion: she loves skating around at high speeds more than anything else! This passion soon turned into competitiveness as she trained more and more to win in races.In fact, during a competition the young girl met with a just as young blond girl named Korrina. Between the two immediately sparked a friendly rivalry, as they each tried to outdo the other.
|Teen years
Unfortunately, tragedy struck when Veronica was 14 years old: her older sister seemed to be affected by a strange, incurable disease that slowly left her more and more debilitated. As the family rushed from doctor to doctor for a solution to this illness, the symptoms that were just mild at first, started to worsen with each passing day. The younger sibling felt powerless: her inspiration, the glue that kept the family even that last bit connected, getting weaker and weaker with no explanation... Veronica had to grow up too soon, as she had to run errands and help her now bedbound sister. In a last ditch attempt out of desperation, the family decided to settle down in Paldea, as there were rumors of a powerful spice called ‘Herba Mystyca’ that was so powerful that it could cure all illnesses and injuries. However, unfortunately, the older sister never managed to survive, taking her last breath just a few months later. This officially was the last straw for the already divided family as Veronica’s mother decided to stay in Paldea with her, while the father moved back to Kalos.
|Present
It’s been years since her sister’s passing Veronica is a full-fledged adult, with adult responsibilities and an adult job. The mourning process was long and painful, both for her and for the Dachsbun that her sister left her; but things were finally starting to come back to normality. After ditching at the last moment a promising job as a battle teacher in Mesagoza's Academy, Veronica now has a strong pokemon team that cares a lot about her, and life feels less lonely when all you do everyday is meeting new people while doing deliveries. Especially with that one gym leader from Medali; who despite his overly serious and dry facade, seems really sweet after all…
Larry
Whenever the Treasure Eatery is closed, Larry likes to get take-outs, and so that’s how he met Veronica: with a delicious order of seafood in her hands. It happened once, then twice, then every weekend… Needless to say, the food became just an excuse to see each other as they both developed feelings. He fell quickly for her: the touch-starved salary man had forgotten how nice it felt to have someone who genuinely cared about him, especially after the death of his wife. Larry first thought she was a bit annoying, but he soon had to admit that he enjoyed the company of someone who wasn’t continuously asking him to write more reports. It took some time for him to accept Veronica’s affection; as he kept thinking that he was “too boring” and “plain” to deserve her. The two are now in a loving and wholesome relationship.
Dendra
Once Veronica fully settled down in Paldea she had to enroll at the Academy in Mesagoza. There, she met her roomie and classmate Dendra. Due to their affinity for battling and physical activity they quickly became best friends! ...and, something even more than friends, in fact, they became girlfriends. Their relationship was cute but quite uneventful as they decided to remain friends. They still are really close friends to this day.
Barbie (OC)
When Barbie was in Paldea for a modeling gig in Alfornada, she noticed some commotion in the outskirts of the town: some members of Team Stars were trying to steal food from Veronica’s bag delivery bag. Barbie promptly intervened, scaring off the rowdy group of kids. Veronica was a bit ashamed but ultimately grateful towards the mysterious but powerful trainer: she was shocked to realize that the person who helped her was in fact a Champion of a distant region! The duo keeps in touch often and like shopping together whenever they can.
Kofu
Veronica's boss. He's always happy to have someone help him out with his restaurant and he doesn't mind much when Veronica messes up either. Kofu is seemingly unaware of the relationship between Veronica and his gym leader coworker Larry... or maybe he just pretends to not notice? Since every time there are orders for Medali town he specifically encourages Veronica to go...
Korrina
Korrina and Veronica met back in Kalos during a skate competition when they both were really young and immediately became friendly rivals. Even if Veronica doesn't do competitions anymore after the death of her sister, she still cheers for her friend who's now a fighting type gym leader.
Raifort
During their first semester at the Academy Veronica, begged Rafiort to help with history homework. Although initially refusing, she was smitten by Veronica's cheerful personality. The duo had chemistry: so much so that the girls eventually started dating. They were a very awkward and shy couple, but the feelings were sincere. Unfortunately, things suddenly soured around the time Veronica's sister started getting ill: Raifort told Veronica about Herba Mystica, promising to help her in the search of this magical spice. As the search failed time after time, Veronica started acting irritated due to hopelessness, one time snapping and pushing Raifort. Upset, she ran away, swearing to never talk to Veronica again. Veronica now wishes to patch things up, but Raifort is still resentful.
Laelia (OC)
Veronica's deceased older sister; they used to be inseparable. After getting ill Veronica took great care of her until the end.
Carmen (OC)
A meek woman that lives in Artazon and works as a gardner, she often calls Veronica to help her run errands. She's still saddened by her failed marriage but luckily the people of her town care a lot about her.
Louis (OC)
A bright yet ill-tempered engineer from Kalos, he moved back to his region after divorcing Carmen and presumably has started another family. He rarely contacts Veronica.
Sina
Veronica and Sina were closer during their childhood when they were both living in Kalos. They still are on good terms now even if they haven't met in a while; they occasionally keep up with each other by video calls.
