Otsune Kazetani
Introduction
The floaty, kind-hearted 4th seat of the Fourth Division, Otsune Kazetani is what one would assume to be a natural-born healer. Her affinity for naturopathy and herbal medicines make her an excellent boon to the Soul Society. However, what most don't know, is of her astounding fighting skills that could give even members of the Eleventh Division a run for their money. Few know and many would be surprised to hear that Otsune was once a high sitting memeber of the First Division. Otsune's choice to leave the First Division and move to the Fourth caused quite a stir at the time, as many could not understand her reasoning for wanting to do manual labour. That was, however, many years ago and only veteran Shinigami seem to remember Otsune ever drawing her Zanpakutō.
Otsune has a habit of speaking quite slow and methodical around those she doesn't know well. This habit often gains the ire of the more quick-tempered and argumentative Shinigami, but Otsune doesn't seem to mind and simply watches them yell or throw a fit with a soft smile on her face. Some get impression that she does this on purpose. When around close friends and confidants, however, Otsune seems to bloom anew, becoming very talkative. She loves to gossip and will take any opportunity to bring up rumours heard around the Seireitei.

Tea • Otsune grew up constantly surrounded by tea, and thus she developed a great fondess for the drink. She enjoys preparing different teas for both casual drinking and medical uses. As herbs and other plants are often used in her healing techniques, Otsune believes that tea is also a wonderful accompanyment when treating her patients. She also delights in recommending and gifting teas to friends and other Soul Reapers that she believes will help them with a seemingly unseen problem Otsune insists they have. Otsune still regularly attends Yamamoto's tea ceremonies despite no longer being a member of the First Division.
Sweets • A little known fact about Otsune is her laughable weakness for sweet treats. From candies to cake, even the smallest bit of sugary goodness is enough to sway her in any which direction. Bribery using sweets is not an unknown tactic to those around Otsune, often shoving a small candy towards her to bring her focus to a desired subject. Nanao Ise and Yachiru Kusajishi are the most frequent users of this tactic.

Nanao Ise
Life long friends. They met through Nanao's uncle and a man Otsune views as her own father, Shunsui Kyōraku. Otsune often likes to joke that she and Nanao share a bond "older than time," much to Nanao's chagrin. Despite Otsune's frequent teasing, the bond between the two is nigh unbreakble. They often enjoy some light gossip over tea and a good book, although Nanao would never admit to such a thing.
Yachiru Kusajishi
Fellow sweets lover and member of the Shinigami Women's Association. Otsune developed a very close bond with Yachiru, viewing the child as if she was her own daughter. Otsune was, at first, awed and slightly off-put by Yachiru's strength and seemingly indifferent attitude to the violence that often took place around her. Over time, after learning of Yachiru's past and where she had come from, Otsune developed great admiration and even further adoration for the little girl, often sharing snacks and listening to Yachiru's stories of her various escapades. Yachiru holds similar adoration for Otsune, often commenting on her strength and noting how happy both her and Kenpachi look when they spar together on the rare occasion. Otsune is Yachiru's designated "Sweet's Smuggler."
Yumichika Ayasegawa
A fellow tea connoisseur, Otsune and Yumichika often meet to enjoy a few cups of tea and also partake in spilling some as well. Despite Otsune being from the Fourth Division, she and Yumichika get along quite well, Yumichika seemingly not caring about what division she is from. Yumichika has stated that he recognizes her skill and power, refusing to reduce her down to just a weak healer, despite what his fellow division members have to say. Otsune appreciates how well informed Yumichika is when it comes to gossip, never failing to dish out a juicy story or two whenever he gets the chance.
Shunsui Kyōraku
A man she once heavily admired and respected, Otsune has since grown distant and cold towards Shunsui. Having saved her life at one point, Otsune still feels as though she owes her life to him, despite the distance growing between them.
