Pale Purple Hackmanite

♡ Personality - Hackmanite is a very friendly Gem who tries to be as loving and outgoing as she can, but due to her isolation she’s lost a lot of her knowledge on social interaction. She may come off as over-bearing and perhaps hyperactive, and she doesn’t realize that she’s been so until long after the meeting. At such a point she’ll get very embarrassed and will seek to apologize to that person, despite her great worry that they may not want to speak to her again. She’s a little anxious and quite skittish, startling very easily at the slightest of sounds when tense.

Having been corrupted for so long, she’s rather unstable and is prone to acting a bit animalistic at times, growling or snarling instead of using her words.

♡ Background - Hackmanite was originally created by Blue Diamond, but was quickly passed over to Yellow Diamond after she came out, intending to use her as a "warrior captain" of sorts. There was high pressure on her to succeed, and she did! It was enough for them to give Hackmanite her own personal Pearl servant. Ironically, this led her to become dissatisfied with what she was doing, suddenly aware of how... delicate things could be.

Finding herself heavily distracted, it was inevitable for Hackmanite to fail one mission after another. She fled in shame, poofing and leaving Pale Purple Pearl behind so she wouldn't be wrapped up in her problems, then joined the rebellion on Earth after encountering Amethyst and Steven.

She was present when the corrupting light was used on Earth, becoming corrupted and attacking the town she was watching over. They eventually led her into a nearby cavern and used dynamite to force it to collapse, trapping her inside. Hackmanite was bubbled and brought to the healing spring after miners found her gem half-shoved into a rock.

Hackmanite now continues to guard the town, though she's now also teaching self defense to Gems and humans. She's also been reunited with her Pearl, the two living together.
