They're the child of Sarin, the Vessel of Sol. While they are supposed to one day take over Sarin's position, they don't look forward to it.
They want to help their dads in any way they can! But due to their strange coloration and anxiety, many refuse them. This was until they got a job at their village's Café Connection, waiting tables and sometimes cooking food. They're best friends with their older cousin, Lunsol, and Sen, the daughter of the village's herb gatherer and medic.
One of their fathers, Darryll, induced a deep fear of Mystery Dungeons. However, Sen always encourages them and their cousin to go into dungeons with her as she wants to take over her moms' jobs. This often results in Zyg freaking out but eventually relenting under the pressure.
Their anxiety has led them into many horrible situations. Vis, the medic of the village, has tried to give them many herbs to try and aid them, but it never seems to help. Thankfully, Zyg's family is very caring and helps them through it.
Zyg is considered an overall miracle of the village. They were supposed to be a Simipour but ended up being a Watchog instead, looking very much like Darryll as they got older and their voice resembles him as well. However, Vis has speculated that this is the reason why they have strange colorations in their fur.
