Backstory

During her time as barmaid in the tavern of her uncle (see chapter "family" below), she ran into Ves, another traveller who came by. At that time she had to keep open the tavern on her own because her uncle had to travel away for business. Nyzhit was happy to welcome a guest because business wasn't going too well those days. She listened to Ves's stories of his adventures around the world. Hearing all the things he's seen, she longs for an adventure herself. Ves suggests they go for some exploring together while no one else is staying in the tavern anyway. They make some travels together, always returning to the tavern at night. When Ves tells her he has to move on, Nyzhit feels very sad and impulsively asks him to go along with him. Ves is surprised, but happy nonetheless since he never made a friend before. Nyzhit asks him to wait with leaving until her uncle is back, so she can explain it to him and leave the tavern safely in his hands.

When her uncle returns, Nyzhit feels sad about her decision to leave and decides to stay anyway. She loves her uncle and the tavern too much to leave them behind, especially now that business is going bad, it would feel like leaving him with the problems all alone and she wouldn't want that. She tells Ves about her decision. He isn't happy at all, feeling betrayed because she didn't keep her promise and only gave him false hopes. That night, he sets the tavern aflame, hoping that if it's gone, Nyzhit has no reason to stay wand will come with him. He knows she's an Undead and will survive (and he makes sure to rescue her in time so she doesn't get hurt). Nyzhit is devastated by these events (she doesn't know Ves did it) and with her uncle no longer there, she decides to leave the past behind and go along with Ves anyway.

During her travels, she gets to know his real nature (Person X). She at first tries to run from him, but when she can't get away, she also realizes that she wouldn't want to get away. Not before she has freed Ves from being part of Person X. She tries her best to find out what exactly Person X is to destroy this evil shell and free her friend. Person X manipulates her into believing this is possible and changes into Ves often enough to give her hope and to have her fall in love with Ves. He takes advantage of her feelings to use her to give him the power to revive the dead and create an army of Undead. With the army, he takes over the city Sigtau. He has his army build him a castle, where he and Nyzhit reside. She has learned that she is an Undead herself, which caused her to feel very bad and insecure about herself. She's always had a strange interest in dead things, but always managed to keep her needs at bay. Now she knows she's one of those horrid creatures. Person X doesn't help her to feel better, on the contrary, he exploits her feelings of misery to be able to use her even more.

However, no matter what he does, Nyzhit keeps believing she can save Ves and destroy Person X. She doesn't give up hopes.

Family

Nyzhit grew up under the care of her uncle. Her parents couldn't take care of her because they had to travel around a lot for work. Nyzhit always liked her uncle and has grown up in the environment of his tavern, helping out in the place since she was a little kid. She always liked meeting the travellers and hearing about their stories and adventures. When she had grown up, she decided to stay to work in the tavern, even though her uncle advised her to go work in the city and choose her own path. She had already decided her path long ago.

One day, her actual parents come over and Nyzhit travels along with them to the city for a few days. Things go wrong, however. Her parents came to visit her because they were on the run for someone unknown and wanted to see their child one last time before the inevitable end would catch up with them. They didn't expect the end to be waiting for them in the city. The house they were staying in was set on fire. Nyzhit was the only one who managed to survive, miraculously (because she's an Undead, but no one knows).

Role

The Alternate Universe is a set of worlds in a roleplay with Cuddens. Ghirehym and Maiko travel through different worlds and meet many characters along the way. From time to time, worlds end and they start over in a new one. Only the two main characters keep their memories from the previous worlds, but the characters around them don't, which makes it an all new experience with every world. X is one of the side characters who gets an entirely new life and role in each world.

Nyzhit hasn't had any big roles in the alternate universe so far.
