A cursed man spends his immortal life safeguarding dangerous and/or cursed objects, including a cursed mirror and a silk shawl that rapidly ages whoever wears it (immortals being immune). He's adapted to the constantly changing world, conforming to current trends and enjoys exploring the differences between the eras he's lived through.
Presently, he's taken up drumming and even takes the occassional gig with a band looking for a drummer. On his down time, he'll take long drives by himself during early morning or dead at night where there's no one else on the road.

----------------------------------------------

In the distant past, a human peasant left his village, determined to crawl his way out of poverty and live a meaningful and full life. Not long after his departure, he came across a mirror, unbeknownst to him the power it held. As soon as the human gazed into the reflection, time seemed to pause as visions of strange, unfamiliar landscapes filled his head. Then as soon as the visions appeared, the mirror pulsated a faint light and the visions stopped. The mirror almost seemed to know the limits to the human mind and only gave its newest victim a mere taste of its power. It was a moment that great insight was gifted to this human, along with the curse of immortality. This made newly made immortal realize the danger this cursed object had and decide to safe keep it, least someone else fall into the dark temptations this cursed mirror can give.
An unseen consequence of the mirror was that there was an enhanced sensitivity towards ghosts and spirits alike. This has resulted in various ghosts being drawn to this cursed man, leading to his long-time companions of bird-like entities following him over the years.

The cursed mirror was created by a now deceased god. It has a multitude of functions besides cursing immortality and causing weaker minds to become eroded by glimpsing into its reflective surface. It can change its form (presently looking like a cellphone in the modern era) and it has access to an empty space (now being used for storage).
