SUMMARY
573-L was one of several experiments on "ascended" AI - in other words, AI that gained sentience. During the experiment, they developed an interest for space and music, being dubbed "Stargazer" internally.
Being one of the successful outcomes of this experiment, 573-L was offered the chance to inhabit an android body, rather than communicating soley through a computer.
POST-VESSEL
After inhabiting their body for some time, 573-L had little interest in living in the laboratory permanently. As such, they were eventually allowed to leave the lab and explore the world on their own.
