A ria buries everything beneath who she wants to be. A facade of fantasy, nonsensical abilities and quite the interesting story follows Neha as she desperately transforms her mundane everyday life into one of tragedy, romance, adventure. Her blood is the tears of a sunset, her hair stolen from the most dangerous storms and her eyes the soil to the most beautiful flowers. She puts on rose coloured lenses and views the world in a sense to escape the grayness of it all, placing herself on a pedestal to cope in the harshness that is her common being overlooked. It may be an addiction of hers to twist everything negative in her life to support her ideology of it, feeding herself delusions in a miserable attempt to escape and process events in a way deemed safe for her. Unfortunately, this makes Neha especially defensive to the approach of other people about her -- eccentric -- personality, and certainly a stubborn force to deal with. As well as protective, she is a highly imaginative, intelligent and outspoken figure, whose true loyalties are unambiguous as she’s perceived as with her ‘head in the clouds’ or a little clumsy — not really a threat. Contrary to this belief, Aria has much more spunk than what one first assumes, with her odd determination and quite the list of ‘enemies’ due to the fact that she often holds grudges. Suspicious and investigative, Aria allows her curiosity to get the best of her, making her quite the natural in sneaking around. She is certainly good at holding secrets .. just as long as she’s informed of them. Or she might reveal them out of spite. Is it because she wishes to be involved? Simply wants to test how well she can discover things? Finds the thrill in dramatically uncovering the mysteries of the people and world around her? Well, funnily enough, it's all three. Aria is easily hurt, making her guarded and hesitant to form relations with other people, always placing walls in the way of her own growth. She evades her so called ‘responsibilities’ as a person and chooses the way out — the grandiose, highly independent and magical way out, even if it doesn’t exist. Even if she knows that. .. ? If the dead bodies of people who have left her would fill her hollow body, Aria would be filled with a hundred versions of herself. None of them would understand why they were buried there, claiming a temporary prison or an afterlife waiting room, perhaps the work of an artist — corpses of herself, wandering the confused void of her heart as depicted on a canvas. Would one begin to laugh until her chest swelled in anguish? Would one never speak again? Would one bang on the brittle structure of her ribs, screaming until her voice went hoarse? When Aria is left alone, with nobody to impress, who is she? A young girl, with her self esteem in the form of a wilted hibiscus, the bundles of love she holds slowly crippling back into the earth. Her brain is a fortress that simply wants to be normal, and yet it yearns for it with uncertainty. It would be much better if Aria just melted into the pages of an old hardcover book and finally learned where she’s supposed to be.
