Job is shrewd and focused. He has a tendency to hold onto his interests with great stubbornness, preferring to tackle the world from limited and easily digestible points of view. He has a hammer and every problem becomes a nail, so to speak.

He enjoys getting recognition, and can be possessive and competitive when it comes to his own field of specialty. His confidence wavers when he leaves his comfort zone, but he has an easy fix for that-- never leave the comfort zone!

He tends to be socially independent and a bit private, but he's by no means a shy wallflower-- he's communicative and wordy, fully capable of getting his point across (and boy howdy, does he feel the need to frequently get his point across).

For the most part, he's a nerd and should be bullied, but his demeanor shifts slightly when he takes to the field as a thief. With a plan, with a big target, and with the mask of anonymity, Job becomes quite the excitable daredevil. Plans are nice-- plans well executed are better. No rush like the rush of a job well done! He of course can't be motivated this way for pocket change...

HISTORY


Job Myers was born in Blackcliffe Hold, and he never knew his parents. He was purchased off of them as a baby and raised along a handful of others to be trained as informants.

Blackcliffe was wiped off the map when Job was 16; he was left stranded in Lumiose Village with his skillset and a questionable freedom.

He remained under the radar, blending into the staff of upperclass households, but his embezzling activities was noticed by the Foxgloves. He was inducted at 19.

His memory and talent with maths quickly came apparent. Though he began with using these skills for cheating at cards or picking out wealthier targets at the market, Job ended up quickly becoming accustomed with gambling, fencing, and appraisal. He established himself as a reliable book keeper by 24.

Having been with the Foxgloves for so long, he strongly believes in their goals of 'wealth reallocation'. Job views this redistribution as necessary for economic stimulation and accessibility of art and learning. He does his best to try to teach newer recruits arithmetic and such, but is such an overbearing perfectionist that he often ends up taking over accounting duties for many a thief's books for dues and savings.

To make his own life easier, he's begun trying to establish a system of records for cooperative members of the guild. This includes a system of copies of receipts, and assignment of code names... Adaptation of this system has been lukewarm at best, and so Job believes that if he can get recognition as a Knight, it might give him enough sway to wow the youth into beauracracy.

EXTRAS: Someone mistook the gimmeghoul for a plundered antique, which is how it landed in Job's hands. Of course, he called a knight to take care of it-- but after some thought, came back to request it for his own ends.

EXTRAS: Job captured Governor in some underground ruins when the zubat tried to make Keeper into a snack (during the Silent Earth). Governor is easily startled and afraid of fire, but its trust can be earned with food.
