Created by a mad wizard as a lab experiment, Merlin has always known itself to be different front everyone else.

Their creator died not long after, and the entire world went to shit. Undead rose up, magic went wild. In the midst of the chaos, Merlin persevered.

It found it's creators books, nestled away in his things, and became fixated on the secrets within. The book claimed only they could understand what their master had left for them ; a way to fix this world anew..
