When he was still going to school he had a really hard time paying attention and an even hard time talking to those around him. Due to this he just kinda stopped existing in a way, he was on autopilot up until he was finally given his first mortal. His first mortal was a very popular kid who had loads of friends. Flynn started to watch his mortal very closely to try and figure out exactly what made him so popular and he tried to mimic that but unfortunately for him it didn't quite work. Turns out teen boy humor just wasn't everybody's thing and he was about to give up this new persona, somebody finally started to talk to him. Her name was Aspyer and at first he felt a bit iffy about talking to a fallen but eventually he got over it and he was happy because for once in his life he finally made a friend.
