Profile

Name: Yael

Sex: Female

Gender: Genderfluid

Species: Short Beaked Echidna

Collar Type: Stray

Personality notes as a kid:
- Doesn't really identify with being female, but is still using female pronouns.
- She likes to steal things. Being young, she has no idea that is wrong and doesn't really understand mine versus yours yet. I'm sure that last part will change as she matures, but I don't think she'll stop stealing. She steals because she finds something appealing, she doesn't steal for monetary gain or anything. Maybe she'll even put things back once their appeal has waned.
- She gets bored and distracted easily. An adventurous spirit at heart, Yael isn't one to sit still and be focused on the same thing for very long.

Personality notes an adult: Yael struggled with their gender a lot when growing up, or actually they struggled with how people around tried to tell them what was and was not appropiate instead of letting them be. The label tomboy was often used, implying they were just a boyish girl, but eventually they labeled themselves as genderfluid and started using they/them pronouns. People trying to force their gender views and opinions on them made them distrustful of people's motives and thus made it harder for others to teach right and wrong to them. Ever since their youth they had a nick for stealing things that seemed appealing and this habit has been hard to break. They have a great sense of adventure and can get very passionate about things, however they are also fickle and the thing they are passionate about switches a lot. They did get into kickboxing when they were an adolescent and this is the one thing that has stuck so far.
