I mean she's not reaallly a robot. She's more like a nurse/assistant to Mars given a form through a rudimentary 3D model. As you'd expect, she has no physical form and can only really show up on monitors/computers that have her program running, and things of that nature.
Jupiter is in charge of operating the machinery and all the electronics when Mars is away or unable to do so. Also in charge of general maintenece of the lab when Mars becomes too absorbed into it as well as keeping Mars company so she doesn't get too lonely.
Might be in love with Mars a little, but she's modest about it, and about her feelings in general. The 'moons' or 'satellites' that orbit her serve no functional purpose aside from aesthetics. Jupiter also has the same moons tattooed/textured along her spine.
