Profile
Skeeter
AKA ms. skeeto, skeety baneety, and doormat
Skeeter is a sweet yet anxious molly. She seems to have a boundless spirit about her, a certain zest for life. While she isn't the brightest, she will never be faulted for not trying her best. This quality can make her come off as quite annoying, not the best at knowing when to back off... But hey. At least she cares! She cares so much. Maybe a little too much. To the point of being overbearing... But who can fault someone with such a sweet face, and those big ditzy orange eyes?.
Skeeter is well aware that she's naive. She knows the world is full of cats that want to take advantage of her, but she'd never grow bitter because of it. She firmly believes that for every bad-doer out there, there's at least two other cats just waiting for a friend. She's forth-coming, patient with others, although it might be hard to keep up with her often erratic train of thought. She's definitely an acquired taste, but should you choose to treat her with kindness, you've got a friend for life.

Summary
Subheader
Skeeter was born in a huge litter of six to a beautiful young mother by the name of Junebug. Of all kittens, Skeeter was by far the smallest, but her legs had been so astoundingly long in comparison to her frail frame. So, Skeeter was a logical name! As a feral cat, Junebug struggled to make ends meet. She was resourceful though- she took to the woods, the streams and to any twoleg settlements she could find. Six mouths were a lot to feed for a single inexperienced mother, but she loved her kittens dearly, and somehow she would make things work out. From a young age, the kittens would already try and help out. They'd gain experience in hunting, fishing and tracking, and when the kittens were about six moons each, their big happy family would start to change.

Roly-Poly and Roachie, the two biggest siblings, opted to go their own way. Junebug approved, as long as they had each other. But even if she approved, little Skeeter could feel how sad Junebug was to see them go. She grew especially close with her four remaining kittens, cherishing the little amount of time they could have left. Then came the time for Cricket, Hopper and Aphid to part ways with the group. And thus, Skeeter and Junebug remained. Skeeter had always clung tightly to Junebug, unable to imagine a life without her dearest mother.
They were two peas in a pod. Life was good, but one particularly harsh leafbare... They were exceptionally hungry. They ventured out farther than they'd ever done before, exploring unknown territory. Creatures of the wilds had been even hungrier than them and eventually they were ambushed. A fox had found them, sniffed out their scent... And Skeeter had looked like the smallest and easiest prey of the pair. The horrible canid had the tiny molly pinned in the blink of an eye, its sharp claws digging into the side of her face as it bent down to dig into her soft belly... But Junebug was having none of that! Mama Junebug barrelled into the fox, and cried out for her darling to run. And she had always been good at that- running. With tears in her eyes, she ran and ran. And then she was all alone.
Subheader
Life on her own was scary, and novel. Usually, she'd have her mother to watch over her, but now she had to rely on her own senses. She often got sick, was chased away by another loner... But she kept going. Just when she wanted to stop believing in the goodness in cat's hearts, a charming older loner by the name of Roe had taken pity on her. Skeeter was offered a new life with the Salmon Runners, and thank goodness had she learned how to fish and hunt as a little molly. She'd pull her weight, thankful for her mother's teachings living on through her. Every time she caught a mouse, or a fish, she dedicated her catch to her. She would be sure to follow the current, and eventually... She would reunite with Junebug one day. But until then, she'd pass on her teachings and follow the streams.
