Nate hates when people call him Nathan and Nathaniel, and he loves not being on a boat. Age 17, has shittily dyed hair that turned pink at the tips. Somehow he got roped into this greenhorn position and he doesn't know if he'll come back alive. Always wears his life vest and as much safety equipment as he can carry while working. Crew makes him the 'bait boy' and he hates it. Pavel and others tease him. 

Jeans congratulates him after his first crab season, saying he did a pretty good job (didn't die). For some reason he returns for a second season.
