If you've ever gone to the clinic in the small town of Dis, there's a non-zero chance you've spoken to a certain quiet receptionist. Holly gives it her all, despite looking very nervous most of the time. It's almost impossible for her to raise her voice at anyone.
Outside of her work, you might find her trailing that outgoing reporter, barely able to catch up. You might notice how she panics if she stumbles a little, or if she's asked literally any question she's unprepared for. Makes you wonder how she functions in day-to-day life.
Holly grew up with a normal family. Her parents cared for her, she had an annoying younger brother, and she went from day to day relatively peacefully.
It was around Grade 5 or so, when things went downhill for Holly. She got good grades, yes, but it started to become difficult for her to get her schoolwork done, or present in front of class. Asking her friend, it turned out to be anxiety. Only, being the good kid she always was, she bottled it up for way too long.
Eventually she got on medication after highschool, and was able to get into university for nursing. However, the problem of getting her work done persisted. She couldn't keep up with assignments, and dropped out. She moved back to her hometown, moving in with her friend Lilith, and started making a life for herself.
Despite not getting into nursing, Holly was able to get into a receptionist job at the clinic. It was there she met her friend Ivan, who was patient enough to deal with her, and a certain infamous doctor. She ended up with a massive crush on him, despite barely talking to him, and being his total opposite.
This all culminated into an encounter with a strange young man with flowery tattoos across his skin, when she crashed into him on the sidewalk. Having been annoyed prior to the hit, he yelled at her, and she ran off with tears forming in her eyes. It was an accident, sure, but when strange crack-like lines appeared on her skin, she knew she hadn't walked away unscathed...
- She is a BUNDLE of issues sadly.
- She and Lilith own a cat together. His name is McRib, Holly's the one who named him.
- Surprisingly good at card and board games.
- Her birthday is December 25th, Christmas Day. This explains her name and at least some of the childhood sadness.
- Her family is mostly of Ukrainian heritage! They originally lived in Manitoba for a few generations before her family moved to BC. She doesn't know any of the language though.

Holly and Lilith have been friends since highschool, and moved in together after Holly returned from post-secondary. They care very much about each other, Lilith often helping Holly through bad episodes.
Holly has terrible taste in men, and thus spawned her pretty blatant crush on Dante. It's mostly because of his confidence. It's not going to work out in a million years, but she still pines.
Witnesses 10 mental breakdowns per day. Unfortunate.
Roped himself into playing wingman for Holly when he accidentally cursed her. They have a strange relationship, Holly is a little scared of him.
