I have one solid idea for him and it's that Sig becomes a pet for one of my characters. The two I think he'd match with the most, however, would be Koji and Milk.

For Koji - Sig would be a very small pupper and would be changed to be more fish-like. He'll have a fish tail, gills, and maybe even fins, but other than that, his patterns will remain the same! He'll be like a comfort animal for Koji to just lay around with so that he's comfortable with everything.

For Milk - Sig's name would be changed to either "Toffee" or "Cotton" (Maybe Espresso?) and he'll be her trusty little pet! He'll help her out in her little cafe in the kingdom and is very well known there. He was once a stray that Milk decided to take in, and since then, he hasn't left her side! Sig enjoys giving other pets something to do, and will even offer treats to them (all the treats are home-made by Milk anyway!). He's really a lovable dog, but he also gets all up in everyone's business.
