The story goes that Ismae was blessed by all three Primary gods and fought against Secondary gods. His heroics were legendary but eventually he met his match in the hands of birdpeople. Just before he was slain he split his soul in two and prophecized that some day there would be pair of heroes that would avenge him.
Well, that's the story anyway. The truth isn't quite like that.
