Back in [at that point, still 'her'] teens, Matchitehew shot up like a weed - and, with what [her] family though was struggling with a somewhat common eating disorder, seemed to refuse to put any weight on [her] bones.

At some point - a persistent rumor started that a wendigo's spirit had latched on to [her]. [She] laughed it off, but at the same time started to try and rationalize [her] past actions against it.

Late teens came with a lot of label rejection - 'wendigo', 'female' and even 'two-spirit'. He wanted out of the tribe - or at minimum, the small town aspects of it. No spiritual treatment for the hunger, he wanted to stuff his face - not with the human flesh as his tribe would suggest, but junk food. What holes he couldn't fill he tried to distract himself from.

He's in general studies now - an associates degree - but looking for a spot at a trade school. It's probably would be easier if he sowed ambition for a particular trade.
