Profile

Havona was born into the Flame Legion, destined to live in servitude save one thing: she is an albino, completely colorless save a mysterious gold mark on her forehead. The shamans did not know what it meant, only that it must mean something, and so Havona was raised beside them, learning their magics and privy to an education denied the other females. However, she was still a female in the end, and never achieved any title or rank, being seen more akin to an oracle or mystical object than a proper magic user. Despite this, she was fondly taken under the wing of Encantus Spellsear who, in private, treated her more like an apprentice rather than a servant, teaching her what he knew.

As she aged, she used her knowledge to tap into the fringe of the mists and heard the voices of the dead, becoming a revenant, albeit a secret one, using those voices to continue her oracle-like role. An albino, Havona is extremely sensitive to light, and despite her ability to focus with the voices easily, she continues to use a blindfold, using the mists and whispers to guide her.

As the Flame Legion changed and reunited with the other High Legions, Havona found the world open before her. Free to be who she wished, she joined Encantus' warband, taking the name Searlight. Years of repression left their mark, and she had too much anger and impatience to hone her magic into a proper shamanic role, and instead focused on where her strengths lie. She picked up a weapon and used that anger to channel her skill and magic into a warrior, a true revenant. While she flourished in the Sear Warband, her anger and inability to distinguish what she wanted versus how she was raised became too much for her, and Encantus suggested she travel and discover her own way: should she wish to return, the warband would be waiting.

The Sear Warband had forged ties with the Ley Alliance of Four Guilds, and so when Cantha reopened, Havona traveled there to find work with the now allied Moonrise Crest. She currently makes her home on the Isle of Reflection, listening to the ancient whispers of the sea.
