JJ is easily excited and curious about everything around them. Perhaps a bit too curious at times. He also has a bit of a hippie-ish attitude.

In his youth JJ was studying a lot and spent some time in academia (a horrifying experience). They started researching the ways to create new forms of food that can be both accessible and tasty.

Now they're 50 and is a pretty renowned food scientist. He lives with his spouse T who he's been together with since they were teens.
