-personality;; osiris is very calm and collected, which is rare for a vampire. he struggles to find blood when he needs it, and usually only obtains it out of pity. he rarely loses his temper when he’s starving, so humans usually feel safe around him. he stays away from vamp gangs, they scare him. osiris loves theater and vinyl records. he listens to all types of music, but classical is his favorite. he also enjoys classic literature and slam poetry. he is very nervous, especially around humans. he loves house plants and has a ton. osiris stutters and slurs his words a lot, and tends to use big words when talking to other vampires, leaving them confused. he acts very pretentious, like he is superior to everyone due to his above average intelligence. it’s hard for him to make friends due to this. a good word to describe him would be “snob”.
appearence;; osiris is always dressed to impress, he always makes sure he looks his finest. he has little bat-like wings that he can fly with, but he chooses not to use them unless he is in danger. he has very good posture. he has round glasses that he pushes up every two seconds.
backstory;; osiris lead a very good life. he was an A student, excelling at almost every subject. the only thing really holding him back was his nervousness and paranoia, but besides that he was basically set up to be very successful. he had a steady job at a nearby record store and two caring parents who he loved a lot. big, rich and important universities wanted him. life was good, besides the vampires lurking in darkened corners late at night.
vampires was a new phenomenon starting in the twenty-first century. nobody really knows how it began, but it spread rapidly like a disease. vampires would be forced to go after humans to survive, needing human blood at least once a month. they could eat other things as much as they wanted, but human blood is required every once in awhile because vampires get weaker and weaker the longer they go without it. once a human is bitten in the neck by a vampire, they become one. the transformation is fairly short but incredibly painful. vamps can jump crazy high, fly for short periods of time, and run fast, but the workability of these "powers" decline the longer vampires go without blood. they sport bat-like wings varying in size, fangs, and at least a single strand of black hair. they only come out at night, because the sun burns their skin. crosses will only steer christian vampires away, and they hate garlic.
most humans are unwilling to donate blood to vampires, because most humans hate vampires and see them as a threat. vampires then are forced to go after humans if they want to survive. vampires hate humans in return for not seeing them as equals, and love watching them turn into vampires much more than killing them.
there are lots of vampire gangs as well, adding onto the dangers of wandering the streets at night. gangs love to pick fights, no matter human or not. they are the biggest cause of murder.
one night when osiris was walking home after a closing shift at the record store, he ran into a skirmish on the city streets between two of the vampire gangs. osiris usually didnt work the night shift, but that night he decided he would help out the store for some extra money.
