Malthior

The former crown prince of Kannar who had fallen during the war with Laeces. Malthior is one of the few mages who had mastered the forbidden art of blood magic, and this alone was reason enough for Elian to overturn the death gods' ruling and bring him back from Faedai. Order had fallen among the esoteric circles of hemomancers since the rise of rogue necromancers and Faerathai—damned souls evoked behind the watchful eyes of the Faedai gods due to the rift caused by Chairath and Mordien's amalgamation—and he is the only blood mage Elian knows that remains uncorrupted.

Per Elian's orders, he now works as a hemomancer among the Castigators of the Creed of Cithri, responsible for maintaining order among societies of blood mages and assisting the Castigators in casting out the Faerathai. However, he later runs into someone who had once loved and betrayed him, along with the child of a former paramour— the former being a Faerathai, and the latter a fellow blood mage who dabbles in the dark side of necromancy.
