Tidbits (optional, just stuff I came up with while designing):

• His magic would be a mix of red & black, probably has ties to the blood moon or eclipses (both solar and lunar), is probably even stronger while those are in the sky. To reflect this, the red gems become mostly black when magic is in use.
• A possible ability he could have would be the use of chains to trap people, maybe they can burn or drain their energy? Not sure.
• His coat can seem floaty even if he's not walking or floating.
