Like most Koss, he exists mainly to defend the internet from malware. He does this job somewhat begrudgingly due to the risky nature of the work, knowing that Koss can absolutely become infected and corrupted. He probably doesn't want that to happen to himself. He happens to be much more artificial looking than most Koss.
